Soft

When I'm selecting flowers to photograph, I look at each bloom individually and single out the ones that have the most interesting characteristics. Each one has, like this gorgeous peony, a unique personality.  I brought this bloom into my studio so I could light it perfectly to bring out the softness of the petals and the beautiful coloring.
