Corner Floral

I saw these flowers at the salon, and I loved the freeform vase and especially loved those shadows so had to photograph the scene! I created this look by printing the image on a transparency, then transferring it to some textured watercolor paper. I transferred another image of a texture on top, and then pulled it away to create the imperfections. I re-photographed the final result. I never know quite what I'm going to get when I use a process like this, and appreciate the combination of the science of photography and the serendipity of the technique!
